The Fishing Report for Galveston is as good as it gets. Our Galveston Fishing Charters has been catching spectacular boxes of fish. Inshore Fishing, Galveston Bay and Jetty, Back Lakes and Bayou Fishing, Offshore, Deep Sea and even night time fishing has been incredible. Kids of all ages enjoy fishing with our Fishing Guides. Nora, only 80 years young from New Mexico with a Monster Galveston Bay Speckled Trout!
With the mass amount of rain fall the past month, we are seeing quite a bit of changes lately for Galveston Bay Fishing. The fish have moved to areas of stable salinity, and with the fish being concentrated – great catches have been the norm. Live shrimp continues to be the number one bait for tricking the speckled trout, redfish, flounder, sheepshead and more to our hooks. Free lined or under a popping cork seems to be the trick. Sharks are beginning to show themselves as well, despite the mass amount of freshwater we have had.
Our offshore and deep sea fishing has started off to a great start. Some very nice limits of Red Snapper are coming in as well limits of King Fish. Some Amber Jack are being caught as well. This has been a great year for Red Snapper fishing in Galveston. We now will have a 44 day season for Red Snapper that began June 1.
We like to get our limits of Red Snapper and then target other species such as King mackeral, Ling, Mahi and more. We still have some availability for the Red Snapper Season and we anticipate a great year on the Gulf of Mexico.
Jasmine, above fished with us this past weekend. This was her first ever Speckled Trout! Some people fish their entire lives and never catch a speckled trout this big…. Jasmine did it on her first try! We love getting kids of all ages out on the water and hooked up with Big fish!
